We’re so excited to see National Cupcake Week here in the UK– possibly the most delicious week of 2012!

If you’re anything like us here at 7FAM HQ, you’ll be getting your aprons at the ready and preparing to follow some of these yummy recipes from these fab blogs we’ve discovered. Who’d have thought cupcakes would have evolved from something so simple into a creative, fashionable treat to bake and eat? Here are our top three favourite cupcake blogs!

The Pink Whisk

Ruth launched her baking career back in 2010 after she took part in The Great British Bake Off that year! With a passion for all things sweet, we admire her commitment and exceedingly tasty recipes. We love her Pineapple and Raspberry cupcakes and most of all her adventurous Cupcake Bouquet to hold onto a little piece of summer as we enter these Autumn months!

Mariposa Cakes

Emma a true cake lover began blogging in November 2010 and has since formed quite an eclectic mix of creative recipes! We adore her effortless baking style for charity events and friends birthdays. One to try for Halloween this year are her spooky ghost cakes!

Beki Cook’s Cake Blog

Beki opened her recipe book to the public in 2011, with the creative flair for cake decorating for a whole variety of annual themes. Her impressive sparkly apple cupcakes are one of our favourites, alongside these inspirational Banana Pina Colada Cupcakes for that extra special party treat!

We’ve long been big fans of Jen from The Style Crusader’s chic, elegant style and so we were thrilled when she agreed to write a post about the latest trends to arrive on site from our SS12 collection – neon and floral denim! Here’s what she had to say…

There’s nothing I love to wear more than a pair of skinny jeans. They go with just about everything and are so easy to wear. I love that this season they’ve gotten an update with bright colours and floral prints. Why wear blue denim when there are so many other great options? It’s the easiest way to update your look for the new season.

I styled the 7 For All Mankind Skinny Garden Party jeans with a pink polka dot top by Muriee and an easy black biker jacket from Madewell. To give the look a bit of a tailored feel I decided to wear a pair of classic black heels from Zara – I’d equally love to wear these jeans with Converse though.

The awesome thing about statement trousers is that they act as the centre of attention for your entire outfit. They are bold without trying too hard and work just as well during the day as they do in the evening.

Try the Gwenevere in Hot Neon Pink with a loose white T-shirt, big dangly earrings and flat sandals during the day, or go for the Skinny in Kauai Floral Print and wear them with a crisp white shirt and blazer for a dinner date. They’re great for taking to the beach but also work perfectly when paired with a chunky sweater for when the weather isn’t too great.

The thing I love about these trousers? They offer an immediate burst of happiness. How can you not have a great day when your legs are acid bright or covered in ditzy flowers!

We know that a good pair of jeans can revolutionize your wardrobe, but could it really change the world?  Artist and designer Helen Storey and Professor Tony Ryan think it could…

They have combined Storey’s love of fashion with some very clever scientific knowhow to create the Field of Jeans installation, which has been exhibited in several locations across the UK this year. This striking combination of art and science doesn’t just look pretty, though – each pair of jeans is coated with an incredible chemical that breaks down pollutants in the air when exposed to light, transforming them into a harmless dust which can then simply be washed off.

The simplicity of the concept is beautiful; take something that we do everyday and utilize it for everyone’s benefit. Good jeans, clean air, everybody’s happy! As if we needed another excuse to go out and buy some more denim…

It’s Fashion Week season, and we’ve been eagerly awaiting all the latest looks, trends and styles to give us some inspiration! We spotted this look from journalist and blogger Jennifer and couldn’t help but fall in love with her simple, laidback chic. She’s teamed her 7 For All Mankind jeans with a cherry red Phillip Lim jacket and an oversize tote for a casual look that will transition from day to night easily.
