A little bit of Italy in the USA…. 

We spent a whole day running around between Venice Beach and Santa Monica with one of our favorite bloggers, the popular and super italian Chiara Ferragni, aka The Blonde Salad!

Christmas is nearly here and we couldn’t be more excited! We’ve got all our presents bought and wrapped under the tree but now our minds turn to delicious tasty treats. We love to be able to make some homemade treats to share with our friends and family – after all it is the season for giving. We’ve put together a selection of our favourite different cakes around Europe, so we couldn’t resist showing you some of our favourites for you to try…

English Christmas Cake

Rachael, the proud owner of the Crumbs Liverpool blog definitely knows how to make a fantastically decorated Christmas cake. We love how she’s decorated this one with a snowman for an extra magical touch.

German Stollen

Caroline is a huge lover of stolen at this time of the year, which is a tastyGerman Christmas classic. If you have a sweet tooth, then this one is definitely for you! Laced with almond paste and studded with dried fruit this is perfect for your Christmas celebrations.

Spanish Polvoron

 Lauren a fantastic baker is at the helm of the blog Around The World in Eighty Bakes. She puts a twist on the traditional Spanish soft and crumbly Spanish shortbread, adding a hint of chocolate and cinnamon rather than the traditional nuts. We think these are a simple classic that you should definitely try!

Italian Panettone

Panettone is an Italian sweet bread loaf, which originated in Milan. A different treat for Christmas, this is one to try.  The writer of the blog My Logic Is Fuzzy gave it a try and we think it looks delicious! Will you be enjoying this one over the festive period this year?

Portuguese Bolo Rei

Paula wraps up our final European Christmas classic by making a Bolo Rei – otherwise known as King’s Crown! This cake is definitely for royalty, traditionally eaten from December 25^th to January 6^th. Covered in crystallized and dried fruit the Bolo Rei would be a great one to show off to your guests this Christmas.

 Yes that’s right, tonight is Halloween! When witches, ghosts and goblins gather, it is always the spookiest night of the year. We think Halloween is a night where every fashionista can dress in an outfit that is simultaneously outrageously scary yet elegantly glam, and to do this, it is all about the little touches! Every girl rocks the 7FAM back to black look so well; if you are pushed for an outfit this year, look no further than your own wardrobe! After searching high and low, we have found some of our favourite nail arts to share with you to try this Halloween!

What is the first thing that comes into your mind at Halloween? For us it is a definitely the witches on their broomsticks. With that in mind, ladies you need to give these nails a go. Swatch and learn have a great tutorial if you are struggling how to do them.

The incredibly beautiful Lily Donaldson and reprises her role, fitting perfectly with the ‘eternal hipness’ of 7 For All Mankind which Franco wants to capture.

With Coachella kicking off in California this week, we’re couldn’t be more excited that Summer is merely around the corner! If you’re anything like us you’ll be feeling the festival itch, planning to frolic in a sunny field with friends and a several thousand other strangers…! If that’s you, then here’s our recommendations for the best musical line-ups and our favourite European festivals you won’t want to miss in 2012.

Secret Garden Party, UK

Cambridgeshire, in the UK, hosts the infamous Secret Garden Party – a four day garden-party-gone-crazy. As well as music there’s activities for kids and adults alike and is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and magical festivals in existence. Overflowing with creativity, colour and mystery this giant playground encourages silly behaviour, rather than frowns upon it…!

Main Square Festival, France

The Main Square Festival takes place in Arras, France. Since 2010, the festival has settled in the heart of a huge park located near the town centre, creating nothing less than a magnificent atmosphere. Combined with an impressive line-up of worldwide artists and two unique stages this festival ticks all the right boxes and more.

Rock Am Ring, Germany

Rock am Ring is one of the largest and the most popular festivals in Germany, with more than 80,000 people in attendance. With 80 international acts appearing at the world famous  Nürburgring racetrack you can be well assured that if it’s a Rock, Metal, Punk, Indie or Alternative rock band you want to see, they’ll be there!

Dance Valley, Netherlands

Dance Valley, alternatively known as ‘The Woodstock of Dance’ is an annual dance music festival held in Spaarnwoude, Netherlands. Over the years its seen many famous DJ sets, with big names such as Tiesto and Paul van Dyk. While its known for being a pure dance-music event they cater to a wide audience which is why it has become the #1 open air festival in the Netherlands!

Heineken Jammin’ Festival, Italy

In Italy, the Heineken Jammin’ Festival was first festival of its kind and is, arguably, still the best! It takes place in Milan this year and has boasted headliners such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, R.E.M and Depeche Mode. Whether it’s the music, the chilling out, or the camping, every year nearly 140,000 people enjoy this great event.  We’ve got our ticket – do you?
