 Venice Beach

Love people watching? Then this is the place to be. Venice Beach is as much about the people as it is about the palm trees and the sand. It's famous for its vibrant Ocean Front Walk full of bodybuilders, folk artists and other eclectic personalities donning weird and wonderful outfits.

Style tip: Raw cut denim shorts and a colourful bikini top are the ultimate style staples for a trip along the popular California beach.

Bolsa Chica State Beach

Stretching across three miles, Bolsa Chica State Beach is one the few summertime retreats that allows a bonefire by the beach. Stop by any day of the year to rent a fire ring and enjoy the waves from sunrise to sunset.

Style tip: A laid-back tee tucked into a denim mini.

Santa Monica Beach

Take it easy at Santa Monica Beach with a walk down south across the coast leading to the historic Santa Monica Pier. A game of volleyball, a chilled bike cruise or a ride on the Ferris wheel is enough to get the adrenaline pumping while enjoying the sites.

Style tip: Opt for ripped boyfriend jeans and a sleeveless white shirt for casual ease.

Malibu Surfrider Beach

You can't leave L.A. without hitting the waves of Malibu! No need to be an experienced surfer to appreciate the perfect waves of ocean bliss. In the “worst” case, cute surfer watching and observing the cool Malibu vibe is the perfect alternative how to kill time.

Style tip: Wetsuit. What else?

El Matador Beach

For a romantic get away, opt for the robust waves and hidden coves of El Matador. 10 miles north from the picturesque Malibu, it's the perfect place to enjoy the sunset with a loved one.

Style tip: Salty beach hair, playsuit and bare feet.
