7 For All Mankind Recommends – Cannes Film Festival
The Cannes International Film Festival is the world’s most prestigious film festival, and is always especially glamorous. To celebrate this year’s 65th event we wanted to take a look at a few of the spectacular winners from this year and give you an exclusive on which films you’ll expect to see rolling into cinemas later this year – enjoy!

Amour
This year the Palme d’Or was awarded to Michael Haneke for his film Amour. It tells the story of a married couple of retied music teachers and their relationship after Anne is suddenly paralyzed. It’s a beautiful look at love, life and how both are tested by tragedy.
The Paperboy
Starring the likes of Nicole Kidman, John Cusack, Matthew McConaughey, and Zac Efron, Paperboy is about a reporter who returns to his Florida hometown to investigate a case involving a death row inmate. It’s an interesting mix of race, journalism, publishing, and 1960s America which makes for a smart and entertaining thriller.
The Angel’s Share
Young Glaswegian Robbie has narrowly avoided jail and just become a new father for the first time. Whilst on a visit to a whisky distillery with some friends, our protagonist learns he has a very specialized talent. Could this be a way for them to turn their lives around?
Beasts of the Southern Wild
Benh Zeitlin’s Beasts of The Southern Wild is a bold, and ambitious tale of a little girl called Hushpuppy who lives with her father in the bayou town of Bathtub. Her childish optimism and extraordinary imagination leads her to believe the natural world is in balance with the universe, until a storm changes her reality.
We can’t wait to see all of these – if you’ve been to watch them, let us know what you thought on Facebook or Twitter!
